Loading survey data into KnowledgeHound for analysis can be done in 3 ways:

  1. Data Loading for Managers ("self-loading"), which allows managers to upload .sav files for KnowledgeHound to automatically prepare and present in minutes

  2. Sending data to KnowledgeHound's Data Processing Team for professional data cleaning

  3. Via an integration with your data supplier

This article will explain what to expect from the second option.

For detailed information on formatting datasets, and KnowldgeHound's capabilities and limitations around data, see The Complete KnowledgeHound Data Quality Guide. For a video tutorial on adding data, visit this video series about adding research.

Note: This guide is only relevant for users with the "Manager" status.

Step 1: Create a new study.

If there isn't already a study on KnowledgeHound to host the survey data, you'll first need to create one. To create a study, click "Add a New Study" and fill out the form with details about the project.

Step 2: Add the data files.

The files that KnowledgeHound needs to enable data analysis are:

These files can be added on the Files tab or Questions tab of the study page. On a new study, select blue files dropzone or begin adding your .sav and questionnaire to file dropzone. On a study that already has files, select "Upload Files" from the files tab. Make sure the "Use Professional Data Services?" checkbox is and click submit.

Step 3: Analyze your data!

When a .sav file is uploaded to a study (or a zipped .sav file), the data processing team automatically gets to work on the file. The data should be ready within 5-7 business days, but if you need expedition or to provide more details, reach out to your KnowledgeHound contact or chat with us using the chat bubble at the bottom-right corner of the screen.
