We're already a quarter of the way through 2020, and what an eventful ride it's been. Our product and engineering teams are working hard to continue to deliver impactful solutions to empower your day-to-day. Here are some of the things we've accomplished so far!

Analytics

Stacked Bar Charts

We heard loud and clear that you're using stacked charts in final reports and presentations to quickly compare trends across segments. You can now visualize any of your questions in a stacked bar or column chart right in KnowledgeHound and also export it to your favorite file format.

Sorting

We've also unlocked sorting on charts and spreadsheets. You can sort in ascending or descending order for all single-dimension questions. Support for sorting with more complex datasets is already in the works.

Spreadsheet improvements

Innovation on spreadsheets continue! We recently began nesting column headers, so you can easily scan datasets and quickly draw insights. We’ve also implemented an additional export format in XLSX, giving you more options to manipulate your data.

Easily swap the order of breakouts

It’s now easier than ever to switch the order in which breakouts are visualized with our new Swap Order function. This is especially useful in spreadsheet view with nested column headers. No longer do you need to remove and re-add breakouts to place them in the order you want; this can be done at the click of a button.

Performance enhancements

We’re always working to return data to you as fast as possible. This quarter, several back-end system improvements have unlocked quicker chart load times on stories and study dashboards. In the coming months, a new data warehouse will be completed that will exponentially boost page load times across the platform.

Partnership with Lucy

We partnered with knowledge management experts, Lucy, to help insights professionals unlock the enormous potential buried in their customer and market research. Our integration brings together unstructured assets (PDFs, final reports) and structured survey data (SPSS, SAV) into one experience for customers. All of the data that a team relies on is unified and available within the Lucy portal. Lucy and KnowledgeHound, together, aim to eliminate information silos to ensure insights have their seat at the table.

User research

One of our company values is to be “customer-obsessed”. The only way we can live this out is to understand and empathize with the customer. Our product team went out into the field to interview users and validate concepts. We connected with researchers, analysts and insights managers across the country to better understand search and analysis usage, and test future platform redesigns and feature concepts. The feedback has been astounding and has directly impacted the platform improvements we’ve released and is continuing to fuel our Q2 innovations. We look forward to speaking with many more of you in the quarters to come!
